Jeff Mills

Jeff Mills graduated from Everett high school in 1996, where he competed in both basketball and track. He excelled in both sports, but Mills is most decorated in track and field.
He competed in the high jump, triple jump, and long jump, as well as being part of the 4x100 relay. He was named Bedford Gazette Athlete of the Year during his senior year.
One of his highlights and accomplishments was during his senior year. In one meet, he broke all 3 of the school’s jump records, which still stand.
Mills went on to sweep districts in all 3 jumps. Winning for the second year in a row, jumping 22-7 in the long jump, which is still the District 5 meet record. For 2 consecutive years, he won the triple jump with a 44-2 jump. He jumped 6-4.75 in the high jump to complete the sweep.
Mills competed at states for the second year in a row. He broke the school record in the triple jump with a jump of 45-7.5, earning him a fourth-place finish. He carried that confidence into the next day where he was able to win the long jump with a 22-8.5 jump.
In 1997, Mills was a freshman at Shippensburg University where he competed again in all 3 jumps, and he was on the 4x100 relay team. During his time at Shippensburg, he broke the indoor long jump record, and was also on the record-breaking 4x100 relay team. He was a key piece in securing the PSAC team title.
After 2 years at Shippensburg, he made the decision to transfer to Lock Haven University, for academic purposes. There Mills was a very successful contributor to Lock Haven’s success. For the first time in 50 years. they won the PSAC championship. Mills would probably be one of his top achievements. He helped by earning first place in the long jump, third place in the high jump, and fourth place in the triple jump, while his 4x400 team placed first and 4x100 team placed third. Mills still holds the Hubert Jack Stadium record in the high jump with a jump of 6-10.25.
In 2001, Mills graduated with a degree in recreation fitness management.
Mills resides in Chambersburg with his wife Sarah, and their 6 children: Madison Mackenzie, Malakai, Maya, Macey, and Mikaela. He spends most of his time with his family. He enjoys coaching and training his kids sports clubs. He helps with local basketball and soccer clubs and also enjoys being the sports coordinator at his kids’ elementary school.
Mills's dedication and success as an athlete himself has helped him be able to coach and train his own children and contribute to their own accomplishments.
