Dan Caro
Dan Caro was one of the top linebackers in the area and went on to become one of the top players in Edinboro University history.

Caro is a 1995 graduate of Bedford High School, where he was a leading tackler for the Bisons at linebacker. In his years at Bedford, the Bisons had a 30-6 record including 3 District 5 championships.

He accumulated over 300 tackles in his time with the Bisons, which was a Bedford record. The hard-hitting linebacker earned high honors from the area including the Defensive Player of the Year for both the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat and the Altoona Mirror.

He caught the attention of Edinboro University, where he attended and kept the tackling going. He led the Fighting Scots in tackles for 3 seasons and was named the PSAC All-Conference Team 3 times as well. He was a captain on the team his senior season.

For the 150th anniversary of Edinboro University in 2006-07, the school named the top 75 players of all-time for the university, and Caro was named one of the linebackers on the squad.

Following his graduation, Caro played professionally with indoor football with the Johnstown Jackals, Johnstown J-Dogs, and the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. He helped the Greyhounds win the Indoor Bowl II in 2002 as he was third on the team in tackles and second on the team in tackles for a loss. The Greyhounds beat the Billings Outlaws, 55-52, for the title.
